The Mesh was formed by a group of Darwin based enthusiasts sharing common interests in computing, wireless communications and electronics for tropical and remote regions.
The goal of The Mesh is to assist in the collaborative foundation and promotion of community wireless projects in tropical or remote areas. This site has been created to provide a centralised collection of web based resources to facilitate these goals.

Netgear seem to have cottoned onto the idea of running a Linux based firmware on one of their wireless routers. Although, it's a little late in the game, it is good to see more of the big companies getting on board.
